The mission of İstanbul Kültür University Civil Engineering Department is to equip its students with the knowledge and skills required by the profession with a sense of responsibility for the needs of their professions and society. The Department is committed to accomplish this mission in line with the following objectives with its strong academic staff and developing opportunities.

Graduates of the Istanbul Kültür University Department of Civil Engineering;

must have a broad knowledge of the rules and principles of Civil Engineering and its application and should, therefore, be able to practice their professions as competent civil engineers. They must have the skills to achieve success by adapting to the multi-disciplinary environment of the 21st century, developing technology, social changes, and professional standards. They must be aware of the ethical, social and professional responsibilities of a Civil Engineer. They must believe in the importance of lifelong professional development and learn to take responsibility for their professional and personal improvement.
The undergraduate and graduate programs of the Department have been shaped with these goals. The teaching philosophy of the Department is focused on project-based learning and the curriculum covers all the important components of today's civil engineering profession.
Our goal is to train civil engineers who have the desire and excitement to build a better world.
