Established in 2010 adjacent to the General Chemistry Laboratory, the Materials Research Laboratory operates under the Department of Civil Engineering.
The Materials Research Laboratory houses advanced characterization instruments such as FTIR, TG-DTA, DSC, UV/Visible Spectrophotometer, Malvern Nanosizer-Zeta potential analyzer, and a precision balance. These instruments provide significant support in structural analysis of construction materials like cement, concrete, ceramics, and bricks, as well as polymers and various composites, for undergraduate and graduate theses and faculty research studies.
The Materials Research Laboratory also offers "Industrial Testing and Analysis Services" to researchers from other universities and to institutions and organizations.
